I’m technically a digital nomad, but most days, “digital” is the last thing I feel. Sure, my job is covering the latest trends in automotive and transportation news. What’s more, I travel the world, write my articles remotely, and publish them all online. But the truth is I’m just an analog man trying to keep up with an evolving world.
From my job to my hobbies to the things I choose to wear, I’m a pretty old-school guy. I shine my shoes, work on my own cars, and prefer writing by hand. I love writing letters. Substack is my space to write letters to my readers and be straight with you.
I hope my newsletter content will be as diverse as my interests but unified by a consistently down-to-earth voice.
Some letters will be full of tales from the road and descriptions of my unorthodox, remote work lifestyle. Other letters will be my unfiltered thoughts on the future of transportation and travel in the age of electrification and automation. This is a space for my opinions that don’t make it into my professional journalism.
In addition to being a writer, I am a lifelong student of anthropology and history. I often fall back on my training as an anthropologist when I discuss the present and future of our global culture.
This newsletter is my space to be my most honest with my readers. I strive to tell it true, whether writing about self-improvement, love and heartbreak, or just eating humble pie as an idiot abroad.
